Looking for a support boat for the Bay Challenge?

Every year Granville Island Boat Rentals provides support boat rentals to Bay Challenge swimmers.

The boat rental office opens at 5am on the morning of the race so you can pick up your boat nice and early.

The most sought after rental boat for the swim is the black and white GT Deluxe speed boats as it has a re-boarding ladder and swim platform at the stern and an open bow.


The Event

Only 20 minutes from the start line ..

Every year the Bay Challenge Swim takes place in English Bay, it begins at Sandy Cove Beach, West Vancouver and ends at Kitsilano Beach. All Bay Challenge swimmers both solo and relay swimmers require their own support boat and each year they contact us at Granville Island Boat Rentals to reserve their boats.

Our Granville Island Boat Rental office is open at 5am the morning of the Bay Challenge to get everyone set up with their boat rental and make sure they are on the water to get to the race start line on time.

Our boat rental office is located on Granville Island in Downtown Vancouver which makes it a convenient location for both pick up and drop off for the Bay Challenge swim.

The start line for the swim is roughly a 20 minute drive from our docks.

Online reservation is not available for the Bay Challenge event as it is outside our regular hours, so please call us at 604.682.6287 to reserve your boat today (availability is limited).
