The hunt lasts for around two and a half hours and within that time teams work together to successfully complete their treasure hunt. The team building adventure involves each team organizing their route, deciding what order to answer the questions and seeking the answers by navigating some of Vancouver’s most breathtaking coastal attractions.
When teams return to our downtown location, scores are calculated and the winning teams are rewarded with some Treasure Hunt gold!!
The hunt is a fun team building event that everyone will enjoy. It will let people get to know each other better in a relaxed environment while working on skills and tasks that will benefit everyone back in the office. What better way to spend a day away from work than out on the water.
To finish the day why not stroll around the world renowned Granville Island market and have a meal/drink at one of Granville Islands many restaurants (The Keg, Sand Bar, Bridges).

09:30 – Arrive at our downtown office on Granville Island. Start time may vary depending on the time of year.
09:45 – Safety briefing and boat operation overview
10:00 – Boats leave the dock
Each TEAM uses a game package to organize their route, decide in what order to answer the questions and seek the answers by navigating some of Vancouver’s most breathtaking coastal attractions.
12:30 – Return to the dock
12.45 – Scores calculated and the World Champions are showered in gold !!
1:00 – Explore the world famous Granville Island Market and stay for lunch and drinks at one of the great restaurants located on Granville Island.

The Sightseeing & Eco Tour takes place in the same area as the Treasure Hunt but it is not a competition. Teams of 5 will take to the water for a leisurely boat ride around Vancouver’s coastline. Maps and information on points of interest are also provided so you and your team can choose where you would like to visit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Do we have to book the Treasure Hunt for 9.30 am or can we go later in the day?”][vc_column_text] Most Treasure Hunts are booked in for the 9.30 am time slot as we would not have the boats available in the busier afternoon hours. However, this does usually depend on the time of year you are looking to book your Treasure Hunt. In the quieter months of April, May, June and October we may be able to accommodate at later starting time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Do you provide private buses to pick us up and drop us off from our office location?”][vc_column_text] We can organize a charter bus to meet your transportation needs at additional cost.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Is the Treasure Hunt suitable for everybody and for all ages?”][vc_column_text] All ages can participate in the Treasure Hunt however the driver of the boat must be over 21 years of age. Guests that are pregnant or have had recent surgeries should avoid this event.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”What should we bring when going on the Treasure Hunt?”][vc_column_text] Dress in layers, sometimes the weather can be cooler out on the water. Avoid high-heeled shoes. Sunscreen, sunglasses, cameras and hats are recommended.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”What happens if it rains?”][vc_column_text] Sunshine is always best, but all groups have had fun regardless of the occasional wet days. Everyone seems to just be happy to be out of the office. Click here for more information on parking >>[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”What type of speed boat is used in the Treasure Hunt?”][vc_column_text] Our 17ft Hourston Glascraft speed boat are used in the Treasure Hunt (although other boats may also be used depending on availability). These boats are built specifically for Vancouver’s coastal waters. The boats include : 75 hp Engine, 5 passenger capacity and stereo. Click here for more information and pictures >> [/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”What do the designated drivers need to bring with them to drive a boat?”][vc_column_text] A government issued photo ID[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Is there a damage deposit we need to place before beginning the Treasure Hunt?”][vc_column_text] A $400 deposit of either a major credit card or cash deposit is required for every boat rented. The deposit is released immediately after the boats are returned to the docks without any damage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Are there any additional costs on top fixed $60 per person rate?”][vc_column_text] No there are no additional costs on top of the $60 per person rate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Does the designated driver for each team need a boat license to rent a boat?”][vc_column_text] No. We provide the driver with a free one day boating license when you rent with us.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Is the drinking of alcohol allowed on the boat?”][vc_column_text] No. The same rules regarding drink driving on the road apply to drivers on the water and is policed by the Coastguard. If we feel a person is already under the influence of alcohol at the time of arrival we will use our discretion and refuse service to that person.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab] [vc_accordion_tab title=”Can we bring a dog on the boat?”][vc_column_text] Yes, dogs are allowed on the boats.
